Brokerage Account Sync + Portfolio Improvements
The Portfolio tool has received a major upgrade. Here are the key new features:
1. Direct Brokerage Account Connection
You can now link your brokerage account directly to Signal Sigma Portfolios, at the portfolio creation step. If you have not used this feature yet, now’s the best time to give it a go!
Supported brokers include Interactive Brokers, Robinhood, Fidelity, and many others. Connection is secured by our third party partner, Snaptrade.
Your holdings sync automatically at the portfolio creation stage, then you can request the sync manually from icon next to the portfolio name.
2. Smart Asset Grouping
A new Group Assets menu lets you organize your portfolio by almost any metric:
Group by industry, most correlated sector ETF, Dark Pools data, GEX data, or any other available metric.
For numerical metrics you can group by:
Above/below a threshold
Quantiles (e.g., 5 quantiles)
Positive / Negative
You can now drag and drop assets between groups.
Saving and Loading of custom group views is also available.
3. Group-Based Rebalancing
You can now automatically rebalance at the group level:
Select a group as the starting point.
Assign new target weights and select the desired logic (currently equal-weight logic is available).
Review the remaining portfolio allocation in the summary.
Confirm the rebalance — targets are automatically applied.
Set as target and proceed with orders.
4. Fully Customizable Columns
You can now add any metric as a column in the portfolio table. This was previously limited to a much smaller fixed set.
5. Split Positions Across Custom Groups
In manual (non-rule-based) custom groups you can now split a single position across multiple groups. The standard Asset Class view continues to show the consolidated position. This gives you full flexibility to allocate shares as needed in the grouping process.
6. Option-Implied Risk Scenarios
The Risk Explorer tab now includes an Option Implied Scenario:
Pulls call wall and put wall data from the options market.
Builds a risk/return table for different time horizons.
Helps you clearly see and accept the potential drawdown on each horizon before it happens, for every group and asset.
These improvements make portfolio management faster, more flexible, and more data-driven. We have also squashed a number of bugs along the way, in order to make this part of the app smoother and harder to break. In case any error happens when rebalancing, the latest portfolio state is saved so that you don’t lose your progress.
As always,
Happy Investing!
