Get Started / 4 / Rebalance Your Portfolio

🗒️ Prerequisites: This section assumes a portfolio has been created, as previously described in Section 2 of this Guide.

🏆 Key Action Step: Generate Orders by Rebalancing Your Portfolio.

Steps Shown in the Video

    • Access your Watchlist, which contains tickers linked from your Portfolio and added from the Screener.

    • Sort the Watchlist to identify stocks for inclusion and exclusion.

    • Navigate to your Portfolio in the app.

    • Click Rebalance Portfolio to activate Rebalancing Mode.

Unlike Edit Mode, Rebalancing Mode maintains the total portfolio value by converting sold shares to cash.

  • For stocks to exclude (e.g., Amazon, Meta):

    • Set the amount, value, or percentage to zero for each ticker.

    • Note: Cash holdings increase automatically based on the last recorded price, keeping the total portfolio value unchanged.

    • Search for and add new tickers, which initially appear with a value of zero.

    • Set the allocation by entering a percentage, amount or value, which auto-calculates the other variables.

  • Click Next to toggle between:

    • Actual Portfolio: Current holdings.

    • Target Portfolio: Proposed holdings with changes (additions / removals).

    • Review other tabs (e.g., correlations, risk) to compare actual vs. target.

    • Click Set as Target to confirm the proposed changes.

    • The app calculates which stocks to sell and buy, including quantities.

    • Go to the Orders and Trades tab to view generated orders.

    • Optionally, simulate the execution of trades to see how the Trade History and Portfolio gets updated with each trade. You can aslo add a note for each trade or batch of trades.

    • Enter Edit Mode

    • Reset your portfolio to the original state, to keep it in sync with your real-life holdings.
