Get Backtest Results via API

We’ve just brought the /backtest_result endpoint online, and it’s a significant step up! This new endpoint lets you pull every detail from any Strategy, Measure-Trace or Signal-Trace backtest — completely programmatically.

Here’s exactly what you can now access:

  • The latest portfolio or a portfolio snapshot from any point in the past

  • Open orders for the current day (or a day in the past)

  • Full trade history (or just the trades from a specific day)

  • The complete activity log

  • The performance table

  • The equity curve / chart itself

For backtests that automatically go into the Market Studies section (Measure-Trace & Signal-Trace), you can also download the raw chart data.

All of this is available through different methods and parameters (with everything clearly documented in our API docs).

The real power here is that you can now build a full end-to-end automated trading system directly on top of our platform. No more manual copying or scraping of results — everything is now accessible via code.

I’m especially excited about the future possibilities: imagine an AI agent running dozens of backtests for you, then automatically pulling the equity curves, comparing the results, and surfacing only the most promising strategies. You step away, come back, and have the best-performing setups ready to review. That’s where we’re headed.

What’s coming next?

We’re already working on letting you replicate our ranking models (Millennium Alpha, Vision, Low Beta, Momentum) just like you can now do with the Enterprise strategy.

After that, we’ll be adding screening to the API, plus the ability to run and start backtests programmatically. So stay tuned as we roll out these upgrades!

That’s it for today! If you have any ideas on how we can make the platform even better, drop them in the comments or reach out — I read everything.

Thanks for watching (and reading!), have a great week!

Keep in touch.
